The Department of chemistry started in 2006, covers all the major areas of Chemistry, viz. inorganic, organic, physical and theoretical chemistry. In addition to teaching chemistry courses to the undergraduate students of B.Sc in Chemistry & advanced chemistry courses to the students of M.Sc., the department is actively engaged in research in the frontier areas of topical importance. The department of chemistry has a high reputation in teaching by the eminent staff members The faculties are actively involved to provide quality education and opportunities for all-round development of the students especially the rural young girls. and The Department provides placement facilities and trains the students for their excellent future career.
To produce chemists with adequate knowledge of the subject with analytical skills and prepare them to contribute in a dynamic, technology-cantered world.

Chemistry is the study of matter, its properties, how and why substances combine or separate to form other substances, and how substances interact with energy.
